For God so loved the world, he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~John 3:16
God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you. But because we have all done, thought or said bad things, we are separated from God.
Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
You see…because God knew we could never be good enough to bridge the gap between our sin and His Holiness, He sent His only son to die for us and pay our sin debt in full. The cross is where we find God’s Grace! This truly Amazing Grace is God’s gift to us. We could never work hard enough or get cleaned up enough or do enough to save ourselves. The gift of salvation is from God and it is free!
Ephesians 2:8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Looking back at John 3:16 we see just how much God truly loves each and every one of us. He wants to give us new and eternal life through His son, Jesus. God demonstrates His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
And while Jesus took all of our sin upon himself and became the perfect sacrifice for us, praise be to God, it did not end there! Through the power of God Jesus rose from the dead and is alive! God loves YOU so very much and He has a plan for every person on the face of this earth.
Do you want to be forgiven of your sin? You cannot earn your salvation, you are saved by God’s grace through your faith in the work of Jesus on the cross. All you need to do is repent and believe that Jesus died for you and rose again, confess your sin and ask Jesus to forgive you. You see, repentance is a turning away from your sin. Jesus knows your heart. If you are honest and truly believe in Jesus and you call on Him, you will be saved! Acts 2:21 – “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. You can receive Jesus in your life”. John 1:12 – “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God”.
A Prayer of Salvation
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sin and I want you to come into my heart and life. I need you Jesus and I want to trust and follow you. I ask for your guidance to help me live a life that is pleasing to you. Thank you for loving me unconditionally, in Your Name I pray, Amen.
If you just prayed this prayer, you are now saved by the grace of God! I would love to pray for you.
